Fatigue reliability

Fatigue can be defined as cyclic degradation process within a material/structural component, which results in failure at lower stress levels than ultimate load. Uncertainties will be related to both the fatigue strength and the fatigue load. Fatigue reliability is defined as the probability that structure will perform its intended function throughout its lifetime without any fatigue failure.
